Description
TinkerMill is Longmont's Makerspace / Hackerspace. It's a physical place where like minded people interested in art, technology, science and business can collaborate on creative projects, make things and share tools and knowledge while adding back to the the group as well as the local community.
Think of it as a place where you go to both learn and to create things. It could be a new gadget, an idea for a board game, how to better utilize Longmont's Gigabit Network, or creating an iOS/Android app or learning the ins and outs of information security and privacy on the internet, maybe your thing is learning how to brew beer, how to silversmith or fire ceramics, or learning how to use one of our 3D printers, maybe our 40W laser cutter, or the soldering tools & oscilloscope at the electronics workstation, or textile station with it's USB connected embroidery machine; how about learning to fix your own bike... or maybe you want to invent a new way to make something you use now work even better than it already does.
TinkerMill is also be a place to prototype a new product idea and, maybe, start a new business and find some co-founders, It's very much a 21st century version of a business incubator.
It's also a place to find fellow tinkerers who can help you learn and expand on what you already know. Even a place you can teach about the things you know and are passionate about.
But most of all, it's a place where you can dream, play, learn and bring whatever it is y
