Description
The charming historic building which is home to the Silver Plume Tea Room was built in 1889. The building originally housed a mercantile and at some point served as one of the many saloon's in town. In 1958, Sarah Franklin, the owner and proprietor of the Tea Room, started helping her mother in what was then the Antique Shop. In 1964, Sarah met the sparkle of her life, Wilson, who was visiting the shop. The two celebrate fiftieth wedding anniversary this year. In 1995, Sarah expanded the antique room to include tea and the wonderful baked goods and food we enjoy today.
