Description
The Rocky Mountain division of Feed the Dawgs has been established in honor of our son, Cpl. David Michael Sonka, and his MPC (multi-purpose canine), Flex, who were both killed in action on May 4, 2013 in Farah Province, Afghanistan.
Feed the Dawgs was an important cause for David; he attended two events in 29 Palms, CA and another at March Air Force Base, CA. We are sincerely appreciative that David had the opportunity to participate in those events and enjoy the hospitality of Feed the Dawgs; we know he felt honored by all those who give to the project. John Hemp of the Dawgs Project was grateful for David's assistance preparing the steak for his fellow service men and women and has been instrumental in assisting us with this endeavor.
Because of David's service as a K9 handler and his dedication to taking care of his Marine Corps family, we are proud to have established this new division; it is our sincere hope to carry on the legacy of David and Flex.
We are thankful for your donations that will assist us in honoring our service men and women by providing them with a steak dinner, the companionship of those who are grateful for their service, and a heartfelt, "THANK YOU!”
